Private Tutoring $40.00
I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2006 have several years of tutoring experience. I have tutored in the SAT, GRE, GMAT, but the LSAT is my favorite of them all. I differ from other tutors and courses in that I emphasize fundamentals because solid foundation will increase your speed and accuracy in the long run.
A lot of students come to me after having already taken a prep course only to realize that they're still struggling because they were given only a superficial understanding of the test. This is simply due to the fact that the typical duration of an LSAT courses is 2-3 months. In my opinion, one should dedicate at least 6 months to the LSAT, with 9-12 months being ideal.
I approach the test in three stages:
First, I teach you what you need to know for the LSAT - grammar, argument structure, conditional logic, inferences, etc.
Then, I teach you exactly how to approach each type of question. The goal in this stage is to know exactly what your task is, and how to go about completing it. You will learn how to quickly and confidently eliminate wrong answer choices and you'll learn to exactly why each right answer is right.
3) Test-taking strategies
Using practice tests, we will hone in on your strengths and weaknesses and I will teach you LSAT-specific test-taking strategies so you, personally, can achieve your highest score.
And of course, working with me you will get lots of practice. I assign weekly homework and provide all materials.
