- Music Lessons
Piano... classical, jazz and popular.
Hello, my name is Ari. I'm an eclectically educated composer/musician/educator who has been teaching piano and general music studies for over 25 years.
Before settling on a new music teacher for you or your children, please give me a call. After answering your questions and discussing your musical goals, we'll have a good idea if we should arrange a trial lesson. You won't find a more patient, insightful or professional music teacher anywhere.
- All ages, levels and styles. (Classical, blues, jazz, rock, popular...) - Qualified. (Studied with top educators from an early age through university and continuing studies. See bio on website.) - Lessons available in your home. (In short, you won't have the hassle of shlepping yourself (or your children) to lessons each week because I come to you; I've been doing this for years and my students greatly appreciate the convenience. Regarding rates, mine are significantly less than what reputable music schools charge as there's no middle man. A super friendly A+ teacher, no wasted travel time at your end, a reasonable price...
What's not to like? A win-win scenario for the motivated student :) Teaching expertise includes: piano, keyboards; guitar (acoustic and electric styles); music theory; composition, improvisation, songwriting; computer music skills (i.e. recording/ editing/ production on a Mac or PC). A brief bio As well as being a dedicated teacher, I'm an award winning composer (e.g. film scores, musicals, piano sonatas), studio musician and music producer.Being a composer, I'm adept at explaining the language behind the pieces we're learning - the process is called music analysis - so that in addition to gaining a solid technique on one's instrument, my students learn to talk intelligently about the music, as though by osmosis, and to apply the knowledge in practical ways (e.g. the learning of new pieces, composition, improvisation, music production). And regardless of age or level, I make everything easy to understand and intellectually stimulating.
In short, my students do great, and with a little effort, you or your children can too. Again, after answering your questions and discussing your musical goals, we'll have a good idea if we should arrange a trial lesson. Thanks.
