Guitar Instruction - All styles, all ages, all levelsTaught by: Michael P. Wolfsohn
There's a lot more to being a Musician than learning how to strum a few chords. And it has been my experience, as a teacher for over 20 years, that the more deeply you get involved with music, the more satisfying it is!!
You become able to create beautiful accompaniments for yourself or other singers, to improvise, to understand what other musicians you are playing with are doing, and how the instruments all work together. You learn how to take interesting solos, to write songs, to understand any music you hear. You discover the beauty of the way in which music is structured and put together - a fascinating, intricate structure!!! And the process of learning all of this is both easy and enjoyable!
From complete beginners to advanced players, I teach Guitar at all levels - correct right-hand and left-hand positions and techniques, how to use a pick or fingers, how to read music (which, despite what you may have heard, is easy - if it's taught correctly).
In addition to your instrumental study, you will learn Music Theory, so that you will have the tools you need to learn songs from recordings, to play with others (or in a band), to improvise & play solos - to write your own songs, if that's your wish!!
For over 20 years, I have been teaching music here in NYC. I have written over a dozen books about guitar playing and music, published by Cherry Lane and by Hal Leonard. And I love teaching. I love helping people discover music in all it's glory!!
Take the first step on the road to a lifetime of musical adventures - call me today.
You'll be really glad that you did!!!
