Ever notice how natural and "locked in" pro musicians sound?
Too many people learn to play guitar by simply memorizing the order of notes and which fingers to use... and then they wonder why their playing sounds flat and lifeless. I prioritize locking into the rhythmic aspects of music first, then the notes. By having a truly clear and concrete feel and understanding of pulse and timing, you will very quickly be able to have timing that "locks in;" from there, your playing can be truly expressive and the other aspects of music (i.e. note duration) will become second nature.
