This is Vicki and I provide private piano and violin lessons for your child, age 5 to adults. The very beginning of joy & adventure in playing the music!
Before you make a phone call, please patiently read this add thoroughly so all your concern will be answered and surely giving you a better idea of how and why I got my expertise in music education.
Playing the piano or violin coordinates brain and hands, building up long term concentration and patience at a young age. I apply either classic techniques at regular progress for your child or fast pieces to achieve a very joyful performance like a professional for adults.
I am a Christian, has a master degree, learnt piano since I was 7. Having teaching experience over 14 years, including my own 2+ children, currently elementary and middle school students, able to play both instruments, piano and violin, at higher intermediate level and this gives a firmly example that I have extraordinary patience in teaching! I would prefer students age 5 or above so they could have better comprehension on reading music notes as well as stronger muscles to hit the keys. The book I mostly use is John Thompson, Ferdinand Beyer, David Carr Glover, Alfred's, Piano Adventure, etc.. However, if you have other series, I could use them too, or whatever works best for you and your family. Also, I do not just teach classical music, I love contemporary so I could give adults a much faster fun way to play the piano!
Student will work on my very new Japanese Kawai piano at my home located at 4S Ranch, 92127.
Please note that this ad is for NONE-traveling lessons, that can NOT be provided at your home or anywhere else. All my students commit to take my weekly lesson in time and I am always more than willing to help them out without checking the clock!
I could meet your schedule for lessons during summer vacation and/or through the academic year.
Reference is available upon request.
Also, I teach beginner to higher intermediate level of violin. I use material, such as Franz Wohlfahrt, Suzuki, Hrimaly, Kreutzer, Dont, Mazas, etc. Some of my students keep their very top seating as 1st or 2nd place violinists, on their frequent and competitive auditions of their middle school orchestra.
Learning piano is the only way to approach music theory so when kids go further into learning other music instruments, eg. violin, they could achieve a much faster progress in terms of accuracy. However, no matter how many different instruments children learn, kids can learn them altogether with no problem, and personally, I would recommend for the earlier the better so that parents let kids to learn piano and violin together so they surely take advantage on their future school performance.
While many other institution will ask your kid 3k-5k a year to learn the violin, here is my affordable rate to learn both instruments together with more fun and true learning!
