I recently graduated from The University of Chicago. I have been a part time tutor for 5 years and a full time tutor for over 2 years.
I have a strong background in math and science and have scored 99th percentile scores on the ACT, GRE, GMAT and the SAT. I can help individuals and families who are seeking one-on-one (and small group) lessons for the Standardized Tests (ACT, GRE, GMAT, SAT, SSAT, ISEE, Selective Enrollment Test etc.) and for high school and college math and science courses. If you are home schooling your child, I also have experience teaching full length math/science courses.
I really love the work I do and discontinued a research at University of Chicago in order to fully dedicated my time to helping students. All of my students have stated in their reviews that I am very friendly and patient and a great communicator. Since the Standardized Tests are all about time, I do teach shorter and more intuitive ways to solve any problem. I think the biggest obstacle in learning for most students is the lack of interest in the subject matter; I make math and science as fun and interesting as I can for the students so they become self-motivated.
