Common prom dress alterations:
a) Length -- Regardless how many layers your gown has, making sure the length is correct so that you will not trip when making your grand entrance.
b) Waist -- To be a princess for the day requires that your gown is form fitted. This gown should extenuate your figure.
c) Straps -- Verifying that your gown rest properly on your shoulders and is positioned right. Necessary adjustments will be made to provide the desired "V" line.
Common gown dress alterations:
Sleeves: We can add straps or sleeves to any strapless gown.
Corset backs: If your gown has a back zipper and you wish to change the look or need to increase the size, ask your alterations specialist to show you the corset back option. Bustles: A bustle is created by elegantly draping and securing the train to the back of your gown to allow you to move freely and safely.
Bows & Sashes: Add a colorful sash to accent your waist and coordinate with your party.
Bring to your fitting:
a) Shoe -- this will establish the exact height and make sure the finished hem will be at desired height.
b) Under garments which will be worn with your dress.
c) No makeup on for your fitting as you would like to keep your gown clean and stain free as possible.
Scheduling your fitting? We recommend have your dress(es) brought in for a fitting (1) week minimum (but not greater than 4 weeks). This will insure that there is adequate time to make necessary alterations and the fit will be perfect.
