Replacing a engine can range from $1500 - $2500 for parts and labor on a used one, rebuilding one can range from $2500 - $3500 or more for parts and labor. </p>
<p>Please, if you think that you have a blown head gasket, do not drive it. I have had several vehicals come to me recently for a head gasket change only to find out that there was further damage. The damage can go as far as a catastrophic falure and full replacement of the motor. The head gaskets can fail and can be changed and you will be back on the road. But the more that a person drives it, the more damage it will cause. Have it checked by me or any other automotive technician. </p>
