Beginner Knitting Lessons
If you are an absolute beginner or are wanting to know more about knitting, I have designed a structured knitting program that will teach you the knitting basics, including how to begin reading patterns.
Each lesson has a project we will work on together, and a project sent home for you to work on. I have selected and modified knitting projects to make learning easy and effective.
This program will teach you the following skills:
1. Casting On
2. How to Knit
3. Bind Off/Cast Off
4. Weave/Sew In Tail Ends
5. Yarn Over
6. K2tog (Knit 2 Stitches together)
7. How to Purl
8. P2tog (Purl 2 Stitches together)
9. How to Sew Your Work together
10. Make 1--Increase A Stitch
The program consists of four lessons, one per week, one hour long. If you would like to join a class, lessons cost $12.00 each. I only allow three or four people in a class at a time so that I may teach you most effectively. If you would like personal one-on-one lessons, the cost is $15.00
This program is available for ages 10 & up.
