Hi, I am Jeff Beller, a retired career U.S. diplomat, lawyer and linguist. I tutor in-person for the PSAT, TSI, SAT, ACT, GRE, TOEFL and English as a Second Language (ESL). I tutor primarily in South Austin, and I tutor at a low price as a community service. My study plans are tailored to students' time and needs.
My rate for two-hour one-on-one tutoring sessions is only $18 per hour.
I cut this rate in half for students with financial need.
My qualifications include:
Recent high GRE scores: 168 verbal (98th percentile), 170 quantitative (99th percentile), 5.0 analytical writing (93rd percentile)
Provide clear answer explanations to practice test questions
Carefully researched, individualized study plans using the best prep resources
Taught university writing courses (including 2015-2017, San Diego State University)
Advanced Teaching English as Second Language (TESL) certificate earned in graduate school (2017)
