Excellent ESL/English Lessons

Experience is important!

Harvard and Oxford educated teacher now offering a limited number of private
lessons for motivated students of English (beginner to advanced). We will focus
on basic grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation -- you will speak and write like
a native in just a few months. References happily provided -- I have taught many
doctors, scientists and business-people from foreign lands, as well as their wives
and children. Some of my very brightest students have been 10-year-olds!


-- A.B. in English from Harvard College (Cambridge, Mass.)

-- Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) from Exeter College, Oxford (England)

-- M.S. in psycholinguistics from Tufts University (Medford, Mass.).

-- Advanced study in linguistics, MIT (Cambridge, Mass.)

-- I have also studied Latin, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, French, German, and Japanese
so I can help you to understand the basic structure of English, as well as modern, conversational idioms.

-- I am an excellent conversationalist myself, and we will practice informal conversation
as part of every lesson.


Lessons are $30/hour or 4 hours per week for $100.

I generally teach at a cozy cafe near 24th and Valencia Streets in the Mission District.

I am also happy to come to your neighborhood, or your home, for an additional fee.

Skype lessons available at $25 per hour. Zoom lessons, $30/hour including a hi-res video recording.
