Xin Zhang (Erhu Soloist/Concert Master)

Born in the Heilongjiang province of China. Xin Zhang was a former assistant professor at the Hebei Normal University. Majoring in Erhu and minoring in Piano at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, she received the top department honor where she served as concertmaster for the Chinese Orchestra. She was one of three recipients in her school honored with the "Wang Kechang" award given annually to very few students among all colleges and universities in Tianjin city. She won the 2nd place in sliver award in the most prestigious Chinese Tian-Hua Cup National Erhu Contest of professional Youths (Top 7 nationwide). She won the first place in the statewide Hebei province professional Erhu Contest. She has issued solo performance studio recordings and published numerous Erhu etudes in prestigious publications and research papers in China's national journals. She held many recitals of solo performance. She has successfully fostered many accomplished students who have been admitted to top Chinese music conservatories and colleges. She was awarded EB-1 permanent residence card due to her outstanding Erhu profession. She is the Chairman of the Judge Panel for the Annual Los Angeles International Chinese Instrument Contest (Northern California District). One of her students received a Silver Award in the first and second Chinese Music Instrument Contests of Los Angeles in 2015 and 2016. Xin is available for performance/concert, Erhu private/group lessons and Piano private lessons in the Bay Area.

1， private：$60/hour；
2， 2-student group：$30/hour per student；
3， 3-student group：$25/hour per student；
4， 4 or 5-student group：$20/hour per student;
no more than 5 students per group.

Erhu instrument:

1， could be purchased from me，$300 per instrument；
2， could be rent from me, $15/month.
