About
My name is Craig Winston and I am a guitarist, composer, and teacher in the Boulder/Denver area.
I offer private lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. My specialties are Rock, Pop, and Metal, but my students also learn a bit of music theory and jazz improvisation.
My students have used their skills to join rock bands, audition for musical theater, and learn to play and sing their favorite songs.
I have been playing the guitar for over 20 years and studied music performance at Berklee College of Music and Lewis and Clark College. I've had the great opportunities to take private lessons with many instructors including Paul Gilbert, Mimi Fox, Andy Timmons, Scotty Johnson, Dan Balmer, and Mark White.
As an active musician in Chicago for the past 9 years, I have performed with The Walking Shadows http://reverbnation.com/thewalkingshadows and The Dead Superheroes Orchestra http://facebook.com/deadsuperheroes as well as with musical theater pit orchestras
