Any and all styles are welcome -- rock, pop, blues, folk, jazz, classical, soul, r&b, gospel, so on. I teach music theory, reading music, improvisation, composition, songwriting, technique, ear-training, and more, according to what you're looking for.

My approach is fun, relaxed, holistic, and student-directed. Your unique interests and learning styles lead the way. What lights you up? What's fun for you? How do you want to learn? How much time and energy do you want to devote to it?

I will help guide you in whatever areas you like. And you don't have to learn to read music unless you want to. We can start playing whatever music you like right away, without reading.

I teach to the whole person, emphasizing joy, authenticity, and self-awareness. And if you're interested, I offer some unique, meditative approaches to practicing that can make your learning process remarkably faster and more fun, plus contribute to your overall well-being, self-awareness, and enjoyment of life.

I studied jazz performance and classical composition and theory in NYC at the New School University Jazz and Contemporary Music Program and Mannes College of Music respectively, graduating with a bachelors degree in Music Theory.
I have 15+ years of teaching experience and I play all kinds of music.
