High School STEM Tutoring

About

My name is Ronnie Bar-Kochba. I am 25 years old with a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Minors in Mathematics and Computer Science.

I've always had a passion for helping others to learn anything in the STEM fields so I have decided to do some tutoring to help local high school students.


===== WHAT CAN I TEACH? =====
All my tutoring is for the following topics at a high school level.

Math,
Physics,
Programming / Computer Science

Early college students can also be accommodated on request.

===== HOW DO I TEACH? =====
I teach in sessions which are 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Each session includes:

- Decompression. Every session starts with 15 minutes of decompression time to relax, chat, and get ready.
- Tutoring. After decompression, each session consists of 1 hour of tutoring time.

You can do up to two sessions in a row. (2.5 Hours Total)

Also, I kindly ask that you bring examples of what you need help with. That can be homework, practice problems, textbooks, and/or previous tests.


===== WHERE DO I TEACH? =====
I am currently based out of Greece in Rochester, NY. We can do sessions in one of three locations:

1. My Home (near Olympia High School). Students can learn upstairs at the dining room table or downstairs in the workshop. In my workshop I have a whiteboard, couches/chairs, tables, computers, and a 3D printer that students can use to make small prints to take home while they are learning!

* PLEASE BE AWARE: I do have a friendly English bulldog, so this option is not suitable for students with allergies.

2. Your Home. I am willing to drive out within 20 minutes of my location (near Olympia High School) to your home. I will bring supplies I need with me.

3. Local library. I prefer the Greece Public Library but can accommodate within 20 minutes of my location (near Olympia High School).


===== WHEN DO I TEACH? =====
I can typically schedule for weekdays from 12PM - 6PM. I can also do some weekends on request.

Sessions can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance.

All times are subject to availability.


===== HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? =====
Each session is $25.
There is an additional $5 charge if I travel to your home.
