Aloha!

I am a Physics and Astronomy graduate student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

I’m currently teaching two introductory physics courses at UHM, and have experience tutoring math and physics for 3 years at the University of Rochester and 2 years at Spokane Falls Community College. I have also taught middle- and high school students, specifically for AP Physics prep.

I am very passionate about teaching. My philosophy is that teaching methods need to be customized for each learner, so I consider it my obligation to find different, more suitable explanations if my student has difficulty understanding a concept initially. I guarantee that my patient and creative teaching will make you reach your goals!

I also have experience as a Tennis Coach and Personal Trainer (3 years in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia and 3 years in Rochester/NY), so I am uniquely qualified to inspire you to see past classroom material, understand it at a much deeper level, and see its real-life applications. (This is especially valuable if you are considering going into STEM!)

My rate is $60/hr but that can be negotiable.
