Jessica’s journey into the world of circus arts surfaced at a young age. She began performing and practicing movement arts at age four. This passion ignited in-depth background in jazz, ballet, tap, modern, show choir, and acrobatic cheerleading.
In 2009, Jessica fell in love with the hula hoop. At the time she attended portfolio school for Graphic Design at The Creative Circus in Atlanta, GA. Hooping quickly became an obsession and fitness outlet during her 100-hour work weeks as a graduate student.
As she continued to train with the hula hoop, Jessica realized dancing was not just a hobby, but her true form of passion and expression. This realization propelled her to start sharing her passion on a professional platform. She taught and performed hula-hoop arts in 2011 and co-founded Phoenix, Arizona’s first hoop troupe, Heady Hoop Tribe, in 2012. In 2013 the tribe was nominated for best performance group of the year by the international blog, hooping.org. Jessica now works as a professional circus artist with some of the top entertainment agencies in the Phoenix valley. She has performed at festivals with audiences of 40,000 people and has traveled to major cities to entertain at exclusive parties like the Super Bowl.
Jessica now offers stilt-walking, LED and fire-dancing performances. She actively teaches and performs in her community to share her love and passion for movement arts with others. The movement of the body to create art has been her love for many years, and will be for many years to come.
