Installed and supported hundreds of networks since then for restaurants, supermarkets, and hotels. I earned my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer credential in 1999. Detailed description of service: THIS TAKES 2.5 TO 3.5 HOURS NORMALLY
We talk, set up remote access (I need your Windows login password too), I show you where to change the password to remove my access and hang up (talk with the chat button or I can call back if you like). You watch (or not) and I call back in a few hours after it's done.

Once logged in, it's a quick-clean combo of two scanners plus looking at the services, scheduled tasks, and startup tasks to disable anything they missed. Reboot so the machine is useable and I can uninstall all anti-virus programs and registry cleaning tools. The anti-virus programs may be damaged. They must be reinstalled (or MS Security Essentials in its place). The registry cleaners are oftentimes a vector for infections via the setup file and historically cause more harm than good. Boot to safe mode and trash the temp files, browser caches (IE, FF, Chrome), and run Windows disk cleanup utility. Do a Windows system file check (sfc /scannow). Start a full virus scan (2 hrs with a well-know scanner). While the scan continues, I reset firewall settings, browser security permissions, remove infection search engines, remove/disable toolbars and infection addons, and install ad-blockers/malicious-site-blocker addons for the browsers. Update commonly out of date software like Adobe Flash and Java. Check Device Manager and Event Viewer logs for problems, disable unnecessary tasks from starting, and check memory (find memory upgrade if needed). After the scan is completed and infections removed, reboot to normal mode with a clean computer. Windows Update is most often damaged and disabled. Run the Windows Update Fixit. There may be many updates here and some won't download and install until others are installed and the computer rebooted. Update times vary greatly based upon download speed, computer speed, and how long, if at all, Windows Update has been disabled. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus. Remove any garbage printers. Install PDF Printer if none installed. Repair or change anything user requests.
