I hired SMS Move Pros in August 2022, who helped me move out of my apartment and loaded my storage unit. I was unable to see everything since it was stacked to the ceiling but upon unpacking yesterday, I found that the majority of our things in a large storage unit are completely broken including dressers, multiple bookshelves, dishes, and more. I was having to move in with my mom due to being priced out of my apartment, could barely afford a storage unit or truck, let alone movers. I have been displaced from my mom's home due to the Bolt Creek Wildfire and became homeless for over 2 months. Now I'm finally getting housing and was able to get into my storage unit and I cannot believe that all of my stuff was destroyed during one of the most heartbreaking moves of my life.
First time hiring movers and I was nervous with all the horror stories out there, especially as someone who’s visibly queer. The 2 guys who came were professional, knowledgeable and very personable! Got my move done in an hour and a half, even with delays that were out of our hands. I was extremely impressed with their ability to seamlessly move bigger furniture pieces down my 3 flights of stairs with just a furniture dolly. Will definitely recommend to friends!
I thought i was tough shit until Steve put in my place. I tried to lie to him saying my stand up piano only weighed 200 lbs. He immediately slapped my face and told me to go fuck myself before leaving w his crew. Gotta say, after looking in the mirror for a good hour, I realized how right he was. He didn't move my piano but he moved me into becoming a better man. Thanks Move Pros
So this guy injured his knee real early in the move. He was pretty frustrated saying shit like "I've been reduced to power Steve loads!" I don't know what that means but he basically ate ass for the rest of the job. Thankfully the rest of the guys picked up the slack, finishing the job in under an hour! Thanks Move Pros, you rock.
