I would absolutely avoid this company at all costs. After showing up nearly an hour late because "the GPS took a wrong turn", they claimed they could not find parking (there is free parking out front and it was available) and left before my POD arrived for delivery. The supposedly arrived just before 3:00 PM and I had them booked for 3 hours. I asked where they were to come find them and they would not tell me-I don't believe they ever actually arrived. They "left" by 3:15 PM and informed me they would not be helping with the move. I was charged a cancellation fee and full price for the 3 hour window for which they were booked. I hope nobody ever has a similar experience-AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Allstar Movers: Your move was scheduled between 2pm-3pm. We arrived at 2:45pm. Yes, I took a photo of your place. Your pod never showed. We stopped and grabbed us a bite to eat. We finally decided to leave at 4pm, because your pod never showed. Yes, Hireahelper.com which you booked through does charge cancelation fees. Which they did, after I sent a video of us circling your place at 4pm. You need to get angry at the person who lost your pod not the movers. I understand you are angry, but the movers took time out their day to come near DePaul University, where you live. They deserve to get compensated for their travel regardless the communication error between you and pods. Any customer can see his invoice and evidence upon request to disprove his review. Dustin couldn't right a review on hireahelper.com , so he came on this website, because he angry he was charged a cancellation fee, which hireahelper.com gets a cut out of it also, so it was just us. AVOID THIS MOVER. The movers that were dispatched were unprofessional. Even asked my nephew to help them with an item that 2 Men And A Truck had easily moved with just 2 movers. They loaded trucks which I had rented. Upon arrival at our destination we discovered multiple items of furniture damaged. After weeks of back and forth with Allstar Movers they agreed to a refund. Months later I still do not have a refund.
Booked for a move and the movers showed up somewhat late. Had no concern for my property, drug the bed and items across the floor. BUT THE WORST is the RACIST and HOMOPHOBIC mover who saw fit to tell me about the "black" who was fired for smoking crack because "you know how the blacks are." Followed by his announcement that since Pride was the following weekend "all these gay shit will be happening" before asking me how I felt "about these queers." I called the owner who was originally empathic and offered to refund through PayPal. I goofed and gave the wrong email but corrected it within 24 hours. He's telling PayPal is taking nearly three weeks to issue the refund and has now said that I shouldn't have given him the wrong address in the first place. Well, I shouldn't be called a queer in my own home. Do not hire these morons.
Allstar Movers: Interesting. If anyone goes on movinghelp.com where he booked us from his actual review reads "Movers arrived within scheduled window and worked quickly. The owner was very gracious with getting me scheduled at the last minute and was accommodating and attentive. Joshua B. (Reviewed on 6/29/2019" This customer just proved he is dishonest and is trying slander my name, by trying to get a free move. The only way he could right a review on movinghelp.com is if he gave us the payment code showing satisfaction of the move. Go see for yourself look up Allstar movers on movinghelp.com, go onto the reviews, scroll down to June 29, 2019, and you will see his contradiction on his review on that site for this exact same move. I booked them on Tuesday for a move on Friday. They had nobody set up for the move. I had to call them twice just to find out they just set someone up 1 hour after they were supposed to be at the house. A total joke operation
